    NFD New Furniture Direct is a family run lighting and furniture company based in Darlington, Co Durham, we offer new lighting and furniture at wholesale prices direct to the trade and the public. Our staff has over 20 years experience in both furniture and lighting and provide a professional service that is second to none. We supply Lighting and Furniture from some of the top manufacturers from around the world.
    How can I place an order?

    You can order online simply by clicking the "Buy Now" button next to the item you wish to buy and when you have completed shopping click on the "Checkout" button, which takes you to our order and payment sites. We have two payment choices for you to choose Worldpay this is operated by the Natwest/Royal bank of Scotland and Paypal both of our payment sites are 100% secure and we do not store any of your payment details. Alternatively, you can place your order by calling our sales team on 01325 288099 or by emailing us at info@newlightingdirect.co.uk. We will then call you back to take your order over the telephone. All orders placed over the internet via one of our secure payments sites are charged on order. If you are not ready for your order and wish to place a forward order you can order direct with our sales department and pay a 20% deposit on order and the balance on dispatch. All Furniture and Lighting is sold on a supply only basis and does not included installation for lighting we recommend you use the service of a qualified electrician. We will confirm your order within 24 hours by email. The email will have a PDF attachment showing all the order details, delivery times and includes a full online tracking system. Please add the following email address to you list of approved emails to avoid it being placed in any junk/spam filters you may have info@newlightingdirect.co.uk as it contains an order attachment.

    How much do you charge for delivery?

    Lighting
    The prices shown on our website include free Home Delivery anywhere within Mainland UK on all orders over £100.00 there is a small charge of £5.99 for orders under £100.00. Delivery to certain remote areas and Island there is a small additional charge this will be displayed during checkout before you complete your purchase. We can deliver light to any part of the world for a delivery quote please contact our sales department on 01325 288099 or email info@newlightingdirect.co.uk We only use reputable delivery companies such as Business Post, UPS and DHL. Please inspect your purchase on delivery if you do not have the time or the driver can not wait please sign unchecked

    Furniture
    Delivery of our furniture ranges is free to all UK postcodes excluding the following where there is a small additional charge. PA, PH, AB, KW £35.00 IV £60.00 TR £20.00 PL, TQ & EX £10.00 our delivery is to your door only; we recommend that you have somebody available to help you lift the furniture in to your home. If you are unsure if the product you are purchasing requires assembly please contact a member of our sales on 01325 288099. On some occasions we will use the professional services of a carrier if it improves your delivery time. Smaller items may be delivered by Business Post, UPS, DHL or a similar carrier. We can deliver to areas other than mainland UK for example the Ireland, Isle of Man, the Channel Islands and the Scottish Islands, but a delivery surcharge will apply, please contact our customer services before you place your order. Note: All Packaging with furniture must be disposed of by the customer. Please inspect your purchase on delivery if you do not have the time or the driver can not wait please sign unchecked.

    When can I expect my order?
    All goods ordered by you will be delivered within Delivery Time quoted from the date of your order, Lighting is normally 2-3 working days for stock items and 7 days on none stock items, furniture is 10-14 days on stock items and up to 6-8 weeks on non stock items depending on the manufacturer, we recommend if you require your furniture or lighting in a hurry you contact us for an approximate delivery time. Occasionally stocks can run low on both lighting and furniture during September through to March we will contact you if there is any delay in the agreed time quoted. Delivery times are based on lead times quoted by our suppliers and manufacturers. Should we be unable to deliver within said period, or within any extended period agreed with you, we will if we can offer you a new delivery date. You may accept this offer of a new delivery date but you are under no obligation to do so and you may instead cancel the order and obtain a full refund of the money paid by you. Such refund will be made to you within 28 days of your request. Please also note that delays may sometimes occur due to manufacturers holiday times. We recommend you contact a member of staff if you are thinking of placing an order between mid July and August, or over the December period, and they will confirm a delivery date for you. New Furniture Direct Ltd will always try and accommodate you the customer with a suitable delivery day. However due to the nature of web trading, i.e. the general logistics entailed, coupled with the small margins of profit we work on, we will always appreciate if you the customer would try to accept a delivery date that we may quote.

    IMPORTANT: Valid forms of ID will be requested by delivery staff upon delivery.

    What if I'm unable to take delivery of my order when it's ready?
    If you are having work done to your home, please be aware that building and decorating projects can be delayed. If you are unable to take delivery of your furniture when it is ready, we will store it for you free of charge for 21 days. Beyond this period, we will charge a storage fee of £5 for lighting and £25 for furniture per week

    What if my delivery contains damaged goods?
    Our quality control team inspects goods immediately on receipt of delivery from our suppliers (to check for faulty goods or for signs of damage during transit to us) and then again prior to dispatch from our warehouses, so as to avoid supplying you with faulty or damaged goods. However, in the event that the goods received by you are for any reason either faulty or damaged, you should contact us within 48 hours from the date on which you have accepted delivery of the goods, by email, fax or post. In that event, we will either replace the goods, or repair them within your home, if either of those courses of action is acceptable to you. You have the right, in the event that the goods supplied are either faulty or damaged, to have the goods returned to us, by arrangement with our Customer Service Department, and to have a refund of the purchase money paid by you. Provided that you notify us of the defect or damage within 48 hours after delivery, and provided that the damage or defect has not arisen following the date of delivery to you. It is a pre-condition of either a refund of the purchase price, or the issue of a credit of equal value that the goods are made available for collection by us in the same condition as they were in when you accepted delivery of them and have not been installed or used and in the original packaging. On certain special order items we will only credit 50% of the original purchase price. Due to health and safety we can not accept returns on beds and mattresses. Alternatively, you may agree to accept the supply by us of replacement goods, subject to the same terms and conditions as in the supply of the original goods. All Furniture and Lighting is sold on a supply only basis and does not included installation for lighting we recommend you use the service of a qualified electrician. New Furniture Direct Ltd will not be held responsible for any costs involved in either assembly or disassembly of furniture or lighting or any cost involved by any qualified tradesman. None of these remedies mentioned in any way affect your statutory rights as a consumer under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended), or otherwise.

    How do I contact New Furniture Direct 
    Customer services can be contacted by email only on customerservices@newlightingdirect.co.uk . Our customer service centre operates between 10.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Customer services will be happy to update you on the progress of you order or any query you may have.

    What if I have a complaint?
    We want your shopping experience to be an enjoyable experience. However, in the unlikely event that you do not enjoy your time shopping with New Furniture Direct Ltd please tell us. You can contact us at info@newlightingdirect.co.uk. Any complaints will be dealt with in a prompt and professional manner. We will acknowledge your complaint within one working day and will seek to resolve it promptly, and to your satisfaction.

    Policies

    Returns policy.
    We want you to be pleased with your purchase. Once you receive your goods you have seven days to decide if you wish to return your goods for exchange or a refund. Returns or exchanges must be notified by email, fax or post within 7 days. You can either return or we will collect and we will refund your money in full within 28 days of collection, all return cost must be covered by the customer.  Notification of any goods received damaged or faulty must be reported to our customer services department in writing by email, fax or post within 48 hours. If you are agreeable, we will either issue you with a credit equal to the value of the returned goods or a full refund. It is a pre-condition of either a refund of the purchase price, or the issue of a credit of equal value that the goods are made available for collection by us in the same condition as they were in when you accepted delivery of them and have not been installed or used and in the original packaging.     How will you use my personal details?
    All your details are held on a secure database and are protected by the Data Protection Act 1984. We have a strict policy of keeping all customer information entirely confidential and will never pass your details on to a third party. We never store any credit or debit card details.

    What is your service policy?
    We have many years experience in the furniture and lighting trade and we only supply furniture and lighting from high quality and reputable companies, if you have a problem we will contact the manufacturers immediately, and either replace or repair. If required we will arrange for their representative to inspect the goods in order to assess what steps need to be taken to remedy your complaint. Your statutory rights, either under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended) or otherwise, are not affected by any remedy which we offer you.

    What is the warranty policy at  www.newlightingdirect.co.uk?

    All of our products come with a full manufacturer's warranty. This warranty will be for at least one year from the date of supply of the goods to you, but any limitation on the warranty does not in any way affect your statutory rights under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended) or otherwise.

    Can you supply furniture and lighting we have seen on other websites?
    We have over 200 suppliers that we work with on a regular basis and we can supply the majority of furniture and lighting on the market today. We will only supply goods that we know when you receive it, it will problem free and give you many years of pleasure.

    Do you deliver outside of the UK?

    We are able to deliver our lighting products to areas other than mainland UK. For example the Ireland, Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, the Scottish Islands and most of the World, but the additional transport costs must be paid by the customer. Please note we only deliver furniture to mainland UK. We can deliver to a UK port if you wish to ship your order outside the UK

    what methods of payment do you accept?


    We accept MasterCard, Visa, Switch, Solo, Delta, American Express, personal Cheques and bank or building society Cheques, (all Cheques must be crossed and made payable to "New Furniture Direct Ltd") Bankers Drafts and Cash.  For deliveries outside the UK and deliveries made to a port or to a second address payment must be made by cheque, bankers draft or bank transfer

    Price Promise
    We constantly check our competitors' websites to insure that we always provide you the customer, with the most competitive price; however in the unlikely event that you are offered a better price within 7 days of purchase we will refund the difference plus 10% of the difference.
    Price Promise Guarantee.

    We will refund any difference to you within 7 days if the below terms are satisfied:
    1.     The goods must be new, not shop soiled, returned or ends of line stock.
    The goods must be purchased as separate items, not discounted with other
    items. The products should be continually available to the general public
    at the price and from a reputable supplier and not an EBay listing. Proof
    of quotation / purchase must be produced.
    2.     The price you are quoted must include VAT and delivery and have no other
    additional costs
    3.     New Furniture Direct Ltd does not make a loss.
